“Well I go out with my friends on Friday nights after your class so I dress for the clubs”, responds Kat ie.

“What?” asks Katie.

“May I be direct with you, Ms. Jennings?” asks Professor Furst.

“Yes, please do professor”, responds Katie.

“I find it a bit disconcerting that I know you are completely shaven tonight and that last Friday night you were not”, says Professor Furst.

Katie does not respond.

“You have become quite a distraction to me in class. The way you sit with your legs permits me to see up your short skirt and…”

Katie interrupts. “What about the week before?”

“Excuse me?”, asks Professor Furst.

“Two weeks ago. Was I completely shaven?” asks Katie.

“No, you were not”, answers Professor Furst.

“And the week before that?” asks Katie.

Professor Furst glances down at something on his desk and then looks up. “You were comp letely shaven that night”, he says.

“What the hell did you just look at?” asks Katie.

“Nothing”, responds Professor Furst.

Katie stands up and approaches the desk. She reaches out grabs the small spiral notebook on the desk. She sits back down and begins looking at the pages in the notebook. Professor Furst does not move.

Katie sees that there is an entry in the notebook for each night of class. The entries concern only Katie. The entries describe what Katie is wearing on each occasion, down to the color of her panties. The Friday entries also indicate “shaven” or “unshaven”.

Katie turns to the entry for tonight. It describes what she is wearing and makes note that she is completely shaven. Katie realizes that Professor Furst must have completed this entry during the ten minute class break at 7:45 p.m. She also notices that in the upper right hand corner of tonight’s entry is a number 5 which is circl ed several times.

She flips back through the prio! r entrie s and notices that in the upper right hand corner of each entry is a number from 1 to 4. Tonight is the only entry that has a number 5.

Katie then turns back to the first page of the notebook. She finds what she is looking for on that first page. At the top of the first page is a legend for what is titled “Fuckability Index”.
